Privacy Policy
The short version. Crowd Sense has no accounts and no login of its own, and the game plays offline. Your progress stays on your device. The app sends anonymous usage statistics to Google Analytics for Firebase, shows ads from Google AdMob (with Unity Ads through AdMob), processes purchases through Apple and RevenueCat, and — only if you open Ranking — uses Apple Game Center.
What stays on your device
The game stores the following in your device's local storage. We do not upload it to a server of our own:
- Your progress: your current level, the stars you earned per level, levels unlocked, and chests opened.
- Your coins and peeks, the looks and question packs you own, and the look you use.
- Your best score, win streak, daily-challenge streak and tries, and recently seen questions.
- Your language choice (if you picked one), and what you bought, so it is never granted twice.
There is no cloud save and we cannot see any of it. Deleting the app deletes it.
What leaves your device
Usage statistics: Google Analytics for Firebase
To see where the game is too hard, too easy or confusing, the app sends short records of play:
- App opened; levels and daily challenges started, finished or failed (level number, gates cleared, score, time, stars, continues used).
- Each gate: which question it was and whether you picked the majority. Peeks used, coins earned and spent (the amount and what for), shop visits, purchases (the product and its price), ads (where in the game, and whether a reward was earned), and your language choice.
With them, Firebase records an ID it creates for this installation (not your name, account or device serial), the device model and operating system, the app version, language and country. We never send your name or any advertising identifier: the app is set up so Firebase does not read the IDFA, and these statistics are not used for advertising. Google processes them on our behalf: firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
Advertising: Google AdMob and Unity Ads
The free game shows a banner on the main page (never while you play), a full-screen ad between levels, and optional rewarded video ads you choose to watch (to continue after a wrong gate, double your rewards, get a free peek, an extra daily try, or unlock a level after level 50). Ads are served by Google AdMob, which may fill some of them with ads from Unity Ads. These services collect:
- Your device's advertising identifier (IDFA), only if you allow tracking.
- Device and app information: model, operating system version, app version, coarse region and language.
- Whether an ad was shown, viewed or tapped, and diagnostic data about the ad software.
They use this to select and measure ads and to prevent fraud. Their policies: Google · Unity. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland the game asks for your consent before personalised ads. On iOS the app asks before tracking you across other companies' apps; declining is fine — you still get ads, just less targeted. You can change it later in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Ads are limited to content rated for general audiences. Buying Remove Ads or the Starter Pack stops the banner and full-screen ads; rewarded ads stay available and are only shown when you choose to watch one.
Purchases: Apple and RevenueCat
Payments are handled by Apple's App Store. We never see your card details, name or billing address. To confirm a purchase and restore it on a new device, the app uses RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous app-specific user ID, the store receipt and the product you bought: revenuecat.com/privacy.
Ranking: Apple Game Center (optional)
The Ranking table is Apple's Game Center. The game does not contact Game Center until you open Ranking. After you sign in there, your best score and daily-challenge score are sent to Apple under your Game Center nickname, and Apple shows them to other players. Apple's terms apply: apple.com/legal/privacy/data/en/game-center. We never receive your Game Center player ID. To opt out, don't sign in, or turn Game Center off in Settings.
Children
The questions are family-friendly, but the game is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the ad networks, contact us and we will help you raise it with the provider.
Your rights
There is no account, so we hold nothing that identifies you to look up, export or delete. To remove everything: uninstall the app (local data, and the analytics installation ID resets); reset your advertising identifier in your device settings; and for data held by Google, Unity or RevenueCat, use their forms at the links above — we can point you to the right one.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
